A Pacific Northwest-based artist whose studio practice has concentrated in the hybrid of media (photography, drawing, video, sculpture and collaborative installation). Since the late 1980's Norris has shown internationally. He is a practicing freelance writer and independent contemporary art curator.
Norris has also been culturally active elsewhere, assisting in lectures and critiques with the Pacific Northwest College of Art, Newspace Center for Photography, Portland State University, Photo Lucida and the Alberta Arts District. As a journalistic audiophile, Norris has also been published in Signal to Noise, Grooves, Brainwashed.com, Port, Repellent, Dusted, Just Out, Paris Transatlantic, Igloo Magazine, Leonardo/MIT Press, e|i Magazine, Vital Weekly and others. Between 2002-03 Norris operated his gallery, Soundvision, "One of the Top Ten Best Places in Portland" (The Oregonian).
